Ayan is a legal professional with experience in community development and conflict and complaint resolution. She is currently a consultant at Shaqodoon Organization, a national NGO addressing youth employment challenges in Somaliland and Somalia. She has monitored and implemented programs focusing on effective disaster and risk management and cultivating positive coping mechanisms for at-risk households for non-profits in Kenya and Somalia. She has also orchestrated entrepreneurship training and curriculum development in ensuring that the curriculum is tailored to the localities in which non-profits work.
